i'm with you on this one
i'm sure the beers were round about £3.50-£4 last year
i think the round will be about £14 or more, if it was about £8 i'd be there

on another thought though i wish the club would serve vin chaud in the winter too

It would make it the cheapest boozer in town really at £2 a pint.

Do you make your own "vin chaud"? A hot vimto with a shot of vodka is a worty alternative.
good idea
take it in a flask?

i sometimes take a flask of brandy to top up the fun!

Me and Mrs DJ are down for my birthday on 16/12. we had intended to be down for the game against Everton but its been moved so now can't come to the game, so we are "doing the markets" instead. Leave the car at the hotel and get a bus into town, then back and out at night!

Went to the one in Birmingham last year & will be going again in a couple of weeks, i thought it was very good, i know it's Birmingham but it's supposed to be the best one in the UK

I always try and go on a Friday afty these days, not as busy and easier to get served. Does anyone ever buy anything from the stalls or just go on the piss?

I have gotten some gorgeous gingerbread from the stalls before!
Oh and some Decorations from the Selfridges stall............ Plus there was a really cool place a few years ago that had retro Manchester band CD clocks things........ Fashionable at the time. ;o)

I have never bought anything from the stalls. Friday afternoons are good, I agree.

its there every year, i got some Madchester Coasters from there

We've been to the Manchester one for the last 3 years and we love it. So much so that we are off to Germany on Saturday to try the real thing. We're going to visit the ones in Aachen, Cologne and in Holland, the one at Valkenberg, then into Belgium for the ones at Brugge and Brussels.

As for Manchester being busy, we found last year to be the quietest one so far. For the first time we were able to pick our own way round the one at the town hall, previous years we just had to go with the crowd. A nightmare really.

Got to wait til Sunday til I go but can't wait. Beer, wine and hog sandwiches, yum yum yum!
