I’m 56 (Some of you will already have me as a right wing racist before you read on) and to be honest I’m getting tired of social media in general. Nobody is allowed an opinion unless it is politically correct.
We are well underway to sanitising football (which let’s face it is the one thing we all have in common) and now we are sanitising comedy.
I’m not a Roy Chubby Brown fan, actually the last comedy gig I went to was James Acaster a few weeks ago.
This might be an old fashioned view but I’d much rather be amongst people laughing rather than crying. Life is too short so if you want to laugh at Chubby Brown have a fucking good laugh. Likewise if you know Chubby Brown won’t make you laugh then go and see someone who will rather than making yourself miserable by moaning Chubby Brown!
P.S. Cancelling his gig and highlighting a story about it just raises his profile anyway!

Good post mate. There was once a time when we were allowed to belly laugh without being castigated as racist for having the gall to go and see a comic who is 'obviously' racist.

Like I say I've not seen him live, he's just a pale version of Manning with tourettes IMO. Manning I liked btw, so I'm obviously racist: /

Never particularly considered Chubby a racist comedian, from the top of my head I thought his act was 90 minutes of talking about fannies and minge and muff. No, not especially funny.
