As a baby having a circumcision is virtually painless as opposed to having it done as an adult. If a religion wishes to have it done I see no more reason to make it illegal than having kids ears pierced. It might not be to my taste

Circumcision is widely practised for religious health and comfort reasons.
In infants when done properly with local anaesthetic it is virtually painless.

If you wish to ban the practise you will be criminalising a lot of otherwise law abiding people and getting others pissed off. You will drive part of the practice underground which may result in greater pain and mutilation and infection.
Others will have the operation later in life which will result in more complications.

But yes it will mean that some islamophobes can feel all cute and cuddly about themselves on the spurious grounds that they are helping babies.

I think you will find that the vast and overwhelming majority of those circumcised do not regard themselves as being mutilated. But calling it that gives you a nice warm cuddly feeling that you are doing good for babies.
Just don't give a f***ing shit about the actual result of any such legislation which results in babies being genuinely put at risk through infection and poorly performed circumcisions.

Those people don't count now because their parents were criminals because we have called them that.

I had mine done back in January,I'm 44 had it done through medical reasons similair to what another lad posted earlier,I was more worried when I was getting put under,as never had to before ever.

If you come from a community where it is the norm to have it done as a child and the law forces you to wait untill you are older when it is significantly more painful and more likely to lead to complications your parents are demonstrating care for you by having it done as a child and the law is abusing you by forcing you to wait.

We all have different ways of looking at the world. In my world we don't chop living parts off a baby boy. Or the genitals off a baby girl. But not everyone sees it like that. It's probably how we were brought up.

I'm not defending either, just saying you can't compare the 2, it's not illegal "cos its foreign", it's illegal cos it's horrific.

For a lad I guess a closer comparison would be if you removing half of each testicle, removing the scrotum and sowing the foreskin wound to the scrotum wound so you can't get a boner, then when you marry rip it appart so it can be used.
