Circumcision

Hygiene, not really just wash it
Reduced STI's, there is no evidence of this studies have swung both ways (pardon the pun)
Reduced UTI's, cant find any evidence of this
Cancer, cant find any evidence of this
Phimosis, sort of, but only in the same way having a limb amputated prevents you breaking that limb
And all only for the cost of an estimated 119 infant deaths per year in the USA from the procedure (229 in another study). Mostly from complications from anesthesia or excessive blood loss during the procedure.

When I was younger there was a guy in the local area who had mental health issues but used to take loads of drugs which made his condition worse. During a bout of illegal drug taking he decided that he wanted to be circumcised but his doctor wouldn't entertain him as he was about 30, had no medical reason for it and was mentally unsound. He went home and had a go himself with a pair of nail clippers. He got his way I suppose but I don't think it was probably the neatest job!

Don't try that at home.

I wouldn’t have put my child in for a medical procedure he didn’t need.
I agree though I don’t know if this is the case here or not. Just seen it’s not.

I find it amazing the FGM is correctly criticised yet circumcision on religious grounds isn’t. Don’t really see the difference personally. Neither should be happening.

Not circumsized myself, but the best argument i've heard is that, if you're like me, that during sex, you're fucking your own foreskin not the woman, or man, or whatever
