I wouldn't call it arrogant to presume if the term city is used to refer to a club, mpst peopel presume it is us.
All my life I have heard us refered to as just city by other teams fans, even ines with city in their name.
When I live down south and then in the channel islands and my accent was heard the question was city or united? And I think that most view us as the main users of them titles as stand alone names, as team like stoke, Bristol, norwich, newcastle etc always have their place name added(maybe not at a local level), where us and the rags don't.
Eg Stoke FA cup final, on the tube were talking to a few stoke fans and they asked "are you city fans then?"
As for just using man in front only ever use it if in a city chant, never use it in normal conversation, it's alway City, Manchester City or I'm a blue when asked who I support.
That's class. It would go well with some of the shoes in the adidas thread.our 3rd kit, or back to Nike for their efforts...
