City’s New Kits - 2021/22

Well, this fan does because when I started going to Maine Road in the seventies, we played in sky blue shorts. What you are first exposed to lasts a long time in your memory and in your heart.

You do not know me and you clearly do not know what I think. Please do not ever attempt to speak for me.

What you want to say here is perhaps along the lines of “I don’t like them”. You are not the official mouthpiece for tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of Blues.

There has been a tendency in world football towards teams having the same colour shirts and shorts. Why this should be I have no idea. But it’s there nonetheless.

Times change, I suppose.
I do, and will speak for “the fans” on this matter.

I ran a survey on here which over 1000 fans took part in, and the blue shorts were overwhelmingly unpopular.

Of course there is the odd fan here and there like yourself who like them, but very much a tiny minority.

So saying “the fans don’t like blue shorts” is a fact based on overwhelming statistical evidence. But of course you’re entitled to your individual view.

So you speak for the 1000 on here that are bothered by it, not the many thousands that didn't bother. You can't presume to speak for 'the fans' whatever that means.

Don’t be daft.

You can say with confidence “the fans don’t want the Super League” because there was a poll on here and 95% said they didn’t want it.

The numbers on blue shorts were similar.

Okay you go around presuming to speak for fans, the rest of us will just get on with real stuff.

Nike have took the piss there.

Did levy say to them the home strip has to be a classic look. The others do what the fuck you like.

I think they must have got every manager they tried to hire to sign the shirt in colourful ink and then put the kit on a spin cycle.

The club badge looks like it's stuck on and cheap looking and this isn't good considering the price of the shirts!
Compare and contrast with the Umbro kits incorporating the "Eagle" crest seamlessly stitched into the material with a raised 3-D printing effect weaved into all the patterns inside the badge.

Even the cheap and cheerful Umbro training clobber had a high quality crest and diamond logo stitching, the recent Puma efforts all look heat transferred, like the lettering on the back of a shirt.

Umbro was quality gear mate, made to last and well designed. Their shirts didn't pull a stitch soon as you caught them on something.
