I'm right on the edge. I don't like the third kit but it hardly upsets me. It's just a kit after all, a third one at that.
And Ronaldo I wouldn't specifically choose but I wouldn't turn my nose up at him either.

Although I do understand your larger point and think this is actually quite an astute observation.

Both scenarios expose the ‘creative tension’ inherent in the ‘legacy fan’ vs ‘new fan’ debate
 
I get that Puma want to do something innovative and relatively original, thats fine.

But the third kit doesnt look bad because it's too "new". It looks bad because the name across the chest doesn't really correlate with the rest of the shirt.

There's no sky blue on the rest of the kit and when you have two large text logos (MAN CITY and the Etihad logo) that are different colours and fonts, the end product looks completely disjointed.

Same goes for most other Puma teams. Milan probably have the best one, and even then, the AC MILAN text should still have been white.

Home away and keeper kits are fantastic though.

well i must say ,the kit looked beautiful on saturday, i do hope we keep all blue, that's proper smart, the away kit looks lovely as well "live" , looking forward to the turd kit ,sorry third kit debut , i suppose it will be in europe ?
