City’s New Kits - 2021/22

Have they got rid of the pointless, cheap looking shoulder bits that looked like some 85 year old on day release had hand tacked on afterwards? Looks like it from the Australia pics.

I'm pretty sure you can sell kits AND have them traditional. I don't understand why no one at the top is pushing Puma to actually give us historically accurate kits.
Historically accurate kits were once also brand new designs that had never been seen before.

The first time we ever had full sky blue socks wasn’t until the 1950s, we’d never worn black and red stripes until the 1960s... we’d been going for 60-70 years before these things came in.

We’ve only ever had maroon turnovers on our socks for 6 out of 127 years, but people think of that as traditional-City. All white socks or sky blue and white hoops are more traditional-City than maroon turnovers, having had white socks for 8 years of our history and sky and white hoops for 10... but again, the first time we had those wasn’t until the 1960s and 1950s respectively.

But nothing compared to 68 years with navy socks.

The first time even a white collar was seen wasn’t until the 1930s.

As long as it’s sky blue shirts and white shorts, I’m not bothered what else they do. That is the only traditional-City that really matters. Different designs and trim come and go.

As long as it’s not laser blue or different colour arms, I’m happy.
