City’s New Kits

That is their right, but it will have nothing to do with David Silva wearing the shirt, I'm shocked an older timer like yourself didn't use the usual red and black monstrosity from the 70's.

We like it because we won something in it mentality.

It is fucking horrible, I have a cheque board one under the bed, not even sure I have ever worn it, somebody bought it for a present. It is, even more, viler than the stripes.
I toyed with the idea of Tony Book with the FA Cup. It wasn't a monstrosity, by the way. Agree with you re "we like it because.." theory, though (not with that kit, though). Wembley '99 ticks those boxes for me. Truly awful kit, but we won ("achieved" is probably a better term) something in it.

Seems to me they take ( the kit designers/makers) iconic tops (not just City)and decide to put their stamp on it and 9 times out of 10 they make an absolute shambles of them ..

Another monstrosity.

White is good for an away top, white with a diagonal stripe of city blue and maroon would be acceptable, or straight like that white top with the two different blue stripes, also nice.

We are not AC Milan, cheers Malcolm and we are not Crystal Palace, so I don't fancy our new strip copying their template either.

I'll get the hate in early then, sounds fucking awful, awful I tell you, no place for red on a City strip bar the rose and I guess a case could be made for that going as well :)
Spot on Alf It was Allison who got the red/black kit, he wanted City to change to it permanently, he believed that it made the players look bigger and was an advantage. Agree about the rose as well it should have been the bee and I said that before the recent hype

That kit we had in Sven's season (white with a sky blue sash just across the shoulder, not the whole Torso) was classy. Won at Upton Pk on the opening day? Wouldn't mind seeing that one resurrected.

God you're grumpy. Red and black stripes is iconic.

Besides, Puma's actual away kits (not 3rd kits) have been the best we've had since Umbro.

Why are they Iconic?

Are they Iconic because we won one thing in it 50 years ago?

Red and Black had nothing to do with City until Big Mal asked for it.

Grumpy has nothing to do with it and nowhere do I say Puma kits are shit or have been shit.

Red is for rags and dippers.

A lovely kit that
