City’s New Kits

It does appear in the video on the coin/medallion.
Yes, the symbol does but no mention of the name.

Thinking about it again, it's probably just a simple commercial decision. A large section of our international fanbase must be Muslim so putting a Christian symbol on the shirt would run the risk of alienating them and lowering sales.

Weirdly the kids kit does have the correct collar, even the baby kit does and they normally simplify those

Odd choice not make the normal replica one look the same, can always count on Puma to do something odd even when they have otherwise knocked it out of the park with this one

Disappointing that the replica version doesn't have the trim on the collar. Having major differences between replica and authentic kits has been a theme for a while in the US, shame it's now crept in here...

If you look at it again, it could be an image of looking up a chimney with four crows sat on the corners.

But being serious for a change, I actually find the cross pattée quite symbolic with the nazis. It does trace its history back to the Teutonic Knights hence why they revived it, but it doesn’t appear that any other crusaders used that style, and even the Teutonic Knights did so sparingly.

The flag of Georgia uses a design similar to the Jerusalem Cross and their religious demography consists of 10% Islam.
The first shirt had the maltese cross on as a sign of victory or achievement.

I think it's a "Maltese Cross", on the original.

The crusaders were on the Island of Malta, during the crusades. I seem to remember going round a church when on holiday there in 1981.
They were getting close to digging up the treasure on Oak Island so members of the Knights of Malta have secretly moved it and that's why we've developed the North Stand so it could be reburied there.

Then why design the kit based on St Mark's

In the Peter Swales years, we used to buy light blue t shirts, and the first team bought their kit from Woolworths in Piccadilly Square. Mike Summerbee’s wife used to wash the kit after every game. Youngsters of today wouldn’t believe this, and neither should you! ;-)

Nice kit. If it had the full colour badge instead of monochrome and incorporated the Maltese cross somewhere, we're talking about an all-time classic.
