Remember all the nonsense last year about the ship in the badge being racist as it referred to the ship canal and had links to the slave trade.

So glad the club, with the release of the new kit and other ship related merchandise, has effectively said "fuck you, you stupid morons, its a fooking ship, it's our ship, cry more"

Tbf, "all that nonsense" was about 3 people on twitter.

You can take literally any stance you want and find a couple of tweets to make the claim that "multiple fans" back you up and then write an article.

It was stupid clutching at straws from people who just recreationally get outraged at things because they spend too much time online.

They do have some youth development things going on, see a lot small children groups around the stadium on match days some kind of indoor arena that they play in and meet the players etc?

They do the "kids fanzone" on matches at the academy, but there's no players there, no one can meet any or even see them. It's football games, the trophies , and moonie. Still good, but no, no players.

That still shouldn't prevent the club from organising a couple of open family day training sessions in the week afore the season starts.
