Agree with you about the white Umbro shirt with red/black sash. Talking of which I won the long sleeved version in an Ebay auction for £10! It was brand new with tags and I even saved money on postage by meeting the seller outside Burger King in Manchester. Probably my best City shirt bargain.
 
The SASH has always been one of most popular away shirts of it's time and this is Dennis Tueart's 1977/78 First Division match worn away shirt featuring embroidered 76/77 League Runners Up COA badge.......Imagine that now !!

Tueart would bag a hat-trick wearing this shirt during our 4-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park on 24th August 1977.

Allows them to claim to be the oldest professional league side in Britain.

It’s about the same strength as our claim to Saint Mark’s West Gorton, which we don’t actually use for our foundation year but do sell plenty of merch for and include in club marketing comms

Plenty of clubs have tenuous foundation years. Paperwork is limited and unseen paperwork can pop up, as it did with CPFC

I've got an Elano one mint condition, never worn it so it's overdue an outing. One of my all time favourites.
