It wasn't just the fact that we beat Barca, but the manner of the performance, it was just fucking unreal. But it's even better when you think what this could do for the mentality and belief of this group of players for the future.

When you think back to the Real semi final last year we looked like we didn't belong anywhere near that level, but if that situation was to arise again then nights like tonight will give us the belief that we DO belong and this level and we CAN do it!

Can I assume from the warm words for the referee that we should have had a penalty for Sterling's dive? It looked nailed on to me and I was only about 100 yards away.
But we're still a long way behind Barcelona: We don't dive to their level, we don't moan and whinge to their level, we don't pay the ref and fuck it up to their level. Nah; great result and performance but a long way to go before we can match these clowns.
And what about their magnificent support? Not just a football club? No, no, they are the representatives of the whole Catalan region hence the fewer than 1,500 in the away section. Top section only of the usual away bit and it wasn't even full.
And still too many half 'n' half wankers.
But bloody hell we should have had another two or three in that second half. With a bit more composure in the final third that could have been their heaviest defeat for several years. And all in God's Little Acre.

FFS East Level 2, a footy pitch is almost 2 acres! (sorry, I came on here for an argument, but our unquestionably great performance has totally f**ked that up...)

Something occured to me tonight like never before. We should never have a man of the match. It should always be like it was tonight that EVERY player works his ass off and produces a top performance.THAT is how we will progress and be consistently successful. Oh what a night! The first time the Champions League has got under my skin tonight, even last ear in the 1/4 and semi I didn't really care nearly as much as I thought I would, but tonight it got me!

Zab kept who I think has been the best player in the world in the last two years (Neymar) quiet as fuck. Kolarov kept who I think is the best player of all time (Messi) quiet bar the opening for his goal. Otamendi kept that Scouse buck-tooth'd **** quiet and also was in his ear for the last five minutes giving him dogs abuse, haha!

Our midfield was immense! As was Kun!

Brilliant!

And that's the best atmosphere we've had in Europe by a mile, fucking those away fans off up the top worked tonight!
