The final score of these games has never bothered me overmuch. I just want the players to play to the level we know they can, and tonight they were superb. The miss by The Toothy One was a blessing but apart from that we could have doubled our score! A mightily impressive performance across the pitch. Messi's chin on 85 mins was bouncing up and down on his toecap!

Brilliant display all around. They had their chances, especially the crossbar at 2-1, but then we missed a few by a whisker, too. KDB hitting the post, missing a cross by inches, and Nico almost getting on one at the back post, Silva through but ball under foot, Sergio not pulling the trigger as he tried to find the perfect opening.

Regardless, NO ONE comes back from 1-0 down in the CL against Barca and wins (well, no one except Arsenal once!!!)

The rest of Europe will prick up their ears, but will point to Iniesta and Pique, etc, etc, etc...not realizing City battered them in the second half, and were cheated out of a penalty early doors!

I feel ashamed for ever allowing a doubt to enter my mind about the manager and the effect he can have on players.

That was simply the best performance I can remember seeing from City in my lifetime. Especially given the opposition. Also in a game we couldn't afford to lose. Going 1 down and coming back with belief in each other and in the managers instructions.

Th first time I've seen City go toe to toe with a European giant and they fucking battered them. Rest assured not one team in europe will want to get us in the knockouts.

Agreed ...anyone spouting nonsense about it not being important to beat those twats needs a good hearty kick in the bollocks to return to reality. Red twats.

And I had a wait a long time to first see us beat them and remember full well when it was our most important game of the season, unless we were in a relegation scrap.

We weren't relevant to them at that point and they're not relevant to us now.
