I fucking love the fact that our players stood up to Messi, regardless of what happened. I don't want us to be in awe of them, as we've looked at times. I want us to face them down off the pitch as well as off it.
There was a moment in the away game where they scored, even though we were on top, and it panned to the crowd and it was like Old Trafford 10 years ago against Wigan. Just a bunch of squares standing and applauding the goal with no real emotion, beyond a smile, becuase they hadn't turned up for a game of football, they'd turned up to see how many Barcelona scored. At that moment I thought to myself "I can't wait to topple this fucking smug club". Same emotion I felt about United in the first few years after the takeover.
