City 3 - 1 Barcelona - Post match thread :-)

I just wanted to post ion the thread, read a lot of it so not much more i can say tbh, plus did i mention i just got up and i'm a shit human being for the first 2 hours of consciousness :-D If you think of the African Queen's engine when its proper fucked, that would be a good accurate representation of my head for a while after waking, some say it never really gets much better.

Haha was he pissed off? i had FOX on you see so never saw the ginger scamp.

It was Rio, Mcpointalot and the Dunniemonster in the BT studio with jug ears. BT were actually ok last night, not sure if it is a new directive to be nicer to us, or the fuckers were scared Dunnie would launch them out of the window into the singing section.

Fuck, never knew Messi was a petulant egomaniac, ffs, always said Ronaldo was a superstar :-D
Seriously though that is the sign of a complete prick.

Gotcha, yes it does seem rather to much of a shft in attitude to be sheer coincidence, fair enough though if they are fixing stuff that's not working i have to applaud that.

Oh my word, roll out the Frankie Valli quotes. Just finished watching the TV coverage of the match and we were even better than I thought when I was sat in the ground, where the tension masked just how dominant we were after we equalised but, even before that, a 15 minute spell aside, we were the better side for my money.

My first European game at Maine Road was in 1971 so I've enjoyed a few good ones but this was the best so far, by far. Magnificent.

I didnt say he was finished, anyway his overall play was poor in that game despite being gifted a hattrick.

He's still levels above all but one player on this planet but he's not the 60 goals+ in a season Messi of a few years ago.
I agree with this. Wonderful when he's on the ball, but for some reason he feels he can wait until the team give him the ball. Was very static last night and it made it easier to deal with him. 2nd half it was Neymar that was giving the problems, not Messi.

Obviously one of the most skilful players ever, but you still have to work, and yesterday he didn't.
