City after Higuain

I am amazed at how so many do not rate this guy. He is one of the best strikers in the world. Him and Aguero at city would be a fantastic strike force. They already have a proven partnership at international level.
I rate him, but some people don't because of his weaknesses. He is a lethal poacher & finisher but he lacks the individual skill and touch to link up well with his team mates.

He rarely contributes to overall build-up play and although he will finish off a move with a goal, he can often remain invisible throughout a match.

Havent noticed this when he's play for Argentina!

You not noticing doesn't make it false, because it is true........

It's the reason why Benzema plays in his stead for Madrid despite Higuain being more clinical. Benzema is a skilful striker and works hard as well.

I like Higuain though.

do you watch football? like, er, ever?

only days with a 'y' in the name, so you are saying that higuain is better than aguero, balotelli, or van persie?

ignoring the fabled "potential" that Mario has then yes, Higuain is better than Balo and is also better than RVP over a 4/5 year contract. RVP has had an outstanding 15 months, but that's in the last 7 years and I'd rather spend £25m on the young lad who scores goals regularly than the near 30 year old proven to be injury prone regular goalscorer.

someone needs to tell higuain that he's playing a game of football, not hide and seek. Aguero is much better, and i would much prefer lavezzi

Ballague said we have an offer on the table to Madrid for him.
Would love it if true!!! Maybe we've offered Carlos in a deal? Higuain is fantastic!

Would prefer Falcao!
But isnt falcao the new latest thing?? Noticed alittle at Porto then exploded at ath Madrid? Higuain is younger, Argie and his strike rate is fantastic!!

I'm amazed at this point how much this matters to me. It really does make a difference.

We would be in trouble if the Falklands dispute escalates

lol, you mean to say he's just a fad?

Porto:
2009 - 2010 -> 34 goals in 43 appearances
2010 - 2011 -> 38 goals in 42 appearances

Atletico Madrid
2011 - 2012 -> 35 goals in 47 appearances

Now that's consistency! He didn't simply 'explode' while at Atletico Madrid..he was already famous at Porto..
Higuain does not even compare to Falcao, with regards to strike-rate, and is just 2 years younger..

But if you can get Higuain for 20-25mil then it would be worth it, because Falcao won't come cheap..

I think he would be a great signing and would link well with tevez and aguero to make trio of argentinans. Van persie and falcoa would be better signings though and I would everything we can to get one of them in before we look to higuin.

I think the striker situation all depends on who stays and who goes. Falcao seems to be the ideal replacement for Tevez but TBH I haven't seen much of him so if he's the real deal then fine, go get him. If Dzeko and Balo also go then I would definately believe we need Higuain and Falcao. I'm not a big fan of Van Persie due to his injury record and age and as for Cavani not sure he would be so good without Lavezzi. TBH I think Lavezzi is the one who makes Cavani tick.

Anyone got stats on Cavani when Lavezzi doesn't play? And Visa versa. The thing with Higuain is he seems to score whether he plays 1 game in 10 or 10 in a row. Really like Higuain :) just think he would be unplayable with the kind of service he would get a city, especially if we get Hazard.

Well Cavani has 32 goals this season and Lavezzi has 7 assists (don't know how many were for Cavani goals) so Cavani scores plenty without Lavezzi teeing them all up for him.

Higuain's been on my list of would love to see at City players for some time, think he'd be a revelation playing for us, but I'd take anything Balague says with a pinch of salt.

Spanish journo big's up a move to City, for a player whose likely to leave Madrid at the end of the season shocker! All sorts of games could be being played here.
