City amongst the Premier League clubs that support and promote gambling.

Sorry to hear that.

Maybe you could have one of Stephen Ireland's?

She left me a grand and I was newly single. Waxed the lot in Sheffield one weekend including £100 on a black Ted Baker shirt I wore a total of once.

My mate had me staying with him so I ensured he didn't pay for much all night. In hindsight, it was an incredibly stupid thing to do with £1000 but I had a good time.

It's what she would have wanted...I guess?

I will bring a different perspective on this. I make a living from the value bookies offer, it’s not gambling (goes by the name of matched betting). So it is in my personal interest that bookies continue to gain from sponsorship and by extension continue to offer me a living. That said, I agree with most on here that online bookmakers are a pretty corrupt immoral lot. This is largely due to the fact that online gambling is one of the most unregulated industries in our country. Things are slowly changing though, last year, following a revue by the Gambling Commision and the CMA, tighter controls were brought in. Unfortunately little changed because the GC didn’t put processes in place to check operators were complying and because the industry only has a voluntary watchdog (IBAS) who are massively overworked and have no powers to enforce penalties. However, a government revue is about to take place and Boris Johnson has made it clear that he doesn’t think gambling has a place in our society. So I would expect a huge shake up that as a minimum will outlaw sports sponsorship and hopefully will reduce gambling addiction although I will probably looking for a new career as well!
