City and FFP article

How much did we actually spend on players last season?
Some back of a fag packet figures below.

Net spend of £48m (probably a little lower as some undisclosed outgoings). Which adds about £10m/year amortisation. Getting rid of the players we did probably means amortisation stayed the same (minus £10m for the ones that left).

High earners we signed Aguero, Nasri & Clichy (ignoring Savic & Panti), guess at £425k/week wages (£175k, £150k & £100k).

Outgoing were Jo, Bellamy, Given, Boateng, SWP & Ned (ignoring kids). Guess at £520k/week wages (£90k, £120k, £100k, £100k, £70k, £40k).

Potentially our wages are £100k/week LESS than 2011/12, at worse we are break even on wages - all guesswork mind.

Cheers.. I think our wage bill is around 170m our turnover might well be over 200m this year so where is the over expenditure?

The club has never been better run by some seriously smart and ambitious people, rest easy Blues.. not a thing to worry about.

And, like someone pointed out, worst case scenario and we get made an example of? : A quick phone call from the head honcho in Ford/Heineken/MasterCard to Platini saying "What the FUCK do you mean Aguero/Silva/Kompany/Yaya are banned from OUR competition?".. and that will be the end of it.. an 'amended' FFP rulebook will follow..
UEFA = Sponsorship $$$$ + Corporate $$$$$... they won't shoot themselves in the foot.
