to be clear, brother, i meant why anyone here in england would choose to drink australian wine is beyond me.
no offence was meant towards the half-decent bottles that no doubt stay in australia for those who don't like drinking piss,
but the vast majority of what is shipped abroad is piss.

as a european, in my opinion there are far too many amazing wines to sample here to be overly concerned with all this new world stuff,
it's not snobbery, it's just plain good luck on our part.

wolf blass winning international pissery of the year at an international piss awards held somewhere in the colonies is no defence, dear fellow.

having lived in barcelona, i would happily wager that none of guardiola, begiristain or soriano will be going anywhere near this piss
and with that, i rest my case.

there is only one country outside of europe that i would consider drinking wine from and that is morocco.
the romans and the french planted vines in the atlas, where it is perfect for growing, amongst other things, high quality wine.
you can even buy morrocan wine in lyon it is considered so nice.

thankfully, i'm off to morocco post-haste and shall be devouring a bockle with my supper.
 
i can see a cheap box of Chardy range coming - Blue Goon. not sure what they export but the quality here is good in most regions
