City Announces Global Partnership with Viagogo

I bet they start selling tickets to the fan zone once it’s up and running as well, £5 each to get in for rematch with bars and food, similar to Box Park at Wembley, the day trippers will lap it up.

Careful mate. Last time I recall someone on here suggesting such a thing they got absolutely slated by some posters saying that there was absolutely no evidence that the club would do that and it was therefore unfair to suggest that they might do it!

What time of year do we announce next season tickets prices ?
It feels late this season or is my old mind playing tricks on me. CTID

May not be cynicism at all - sadly, just a fair reflection of what will happen in reality.
It's already been happening for several seasons pal. I gave my SC up in 22 and it's been a match ticket seat since.

The club don't want full SC holders, especially those who don't spend anything in the bars and club store.

There's a group of us in EL306 that have been clustered together for over a decade now. The minute that group starts to be diluted by some "global" fans taking selfies and generally being a pain in the fucking arse during the match, that's the point when I start questioning whether the "matchday experience" is for me any longer.
This has been my club since 1979 but it's slowly drifting away from me.
Ditto on ESL 3, been with the same group since the opening of the seated new Kippax Stand....dozens of us.

If anyone new sits near us they have to pass our long established rules and customs....
Sweets
No late arrival, early departure or pissing mid match
No phones
Name the City team who drew at Chesterfield.

Any pissing aboot and they get dogs abuse.

Start as you mean to go on.

We're a very happy bunch of oyld feckers !!

Delusional. Our season ticket income to the club is akin to coins in change you find down the back of the sofa. Maybe it makes people feel more valued to believe in that myth and that their money is vitally important to the club. It's not.
Correct. Pride in battle was adamant yesterday that PSR was the reason for all this

I commend the desire to take a stand and don't want to shit on that but it's simply a ridiculous way of trying to make a point.

Who really thinks city will give a shit if some people who have all already paid for tickets, stay in the concourse drinking the overpriced drinks for 9 minutes of the match?

The only way something like this could ever be impactful is if it had a 90%+ uptake across at least one stand if not the whole ground which is of course entirely unrealistic.

I suspect they'll be very little support for this and it will barely even be noticeable not because of the reasons for doing it but the actions, most people. Myself included don't want and/or are unwilling to miss a large portion of the game. Has to be a better course of action.

Imagine if the team come out to warm up in Viagogo bibs that would be trolling at the highest level.

Each to their own and all that but remember this is an opening gambit

I deplore this deal with Viagogo, but I honestly don't think this has been well thought through.

This is a midweek match against Leicester when we are no longer in the title race.

The chances are that there will be 5,000 or more people who have tickets that will not turn up.

It's also a 7.45pm kick off for a game that a lot of people who are turning up for will not be breaking their backs to get into early.

There is a very strong possibility that there will be 10,000 empty seats at kick off, decreasing to about 5,000 ten minutes in, in any case.

Also, what crowd noise was there ever likely to be in the first ten minutes of this game?

How will the club even know there is a protest?

I'm not against a protest, but surely the point of one is to actually make it visible and effective. This is neither.

Personally I'd say boycott the game entirely, do not sell your tickets on, make sure them seats are empty, if your worried about a letter from the club, go scan your phone and turn around and walk off
