The guy sat next to me at the game on said he had flown in fron Australia.

A few years ago, when I was living in Toronto, we played Toronto FC in a pre-season friendly. I was all decked out in my City colours, convinced I’d be the only blue there. I was very happily surprised by how many City fans there are in Toronto. They have a great official supporters club.

doubt it, Chelsea with the their successes cannot get anywhere the fan base of Utd or Liverpool. It's been built over generations.

You can add quite a few African countries to the list. From personal overseas experience alone - Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

Having lived in London for 45yrs, it's still a shock for me to see someone wearing a City top. You see a pretty lady over that way, you see a blue shirt the other way, I will be attracted to the blue shirt. I always try to go out of my way to say hi, fist bump or sometimes just a knowing nod in their direction even if the kids are mortified with dad-barrassment. Sometimes a quick shout of 'champions' is required.

I was in Germany once about 15yrs ago and saw a kid with Rosler on the back of his shirt. I crossed the street, went up to him, shook his hand and kissed the badge on his shirt! He didn't know me from Adam, strange behaviour on my part but I couldn't help it. I wasn't wearing any colours which made the whole thing even more wierd.

The more blues the merrier I say. Spread the love.

You are correct. I have a long association with east and southern Africa. The support was mostly Rags, Dippers, Chelsea, Arsenal. The first City fan I noticed in Tanzania was in 2009. As you have observed, the numbers have grown over the last 5-10 years.
