doubt it, Chelsea with the their successes cannot get anywhere the fan base of Utd or Liverpool. It's been built over generations. You'd think our fanbase would have exploded the last decade or so especially when Pep came in I wonder what the data is surely overseas fans don't want to watch the crap served up at Utd and Arsenal...?
only the last 5 to 10 years thoughYou can add quite a few African countries to the list. From personal overseas experience alone - Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
Haha fucking brilliant!Having lived in London for 45yrs, it's still a shock for me to see someone wearing a City top. You see a pretty lady over that way, you see a blue shirt the other way, I will be attracted to the blue shirt. I always try to go out of my way to say hi, fist bump or sometimes just a knowing nod in their direction even if the kids are mortified with dad-barrassment. Sometimes a quick shout of 'champions' is required.
I was in Germany once about 15yrs ago and saw a kid with Rosler on the back of his shirt. I crossed the street, went up to him, shook his hand and kissed the badge on his shirt! He didn't know me from Adam, strange behaviour on my part but I couldn't help it. I wasn't wearing any colours which made the whole thing even more wierd.
The more blues the merrier I say. Spread the love.
You are correct. I have a long association with east and southern Africa. The support was mostly Rags, Dippers, Chelsea, Arsenal. The first City fan I noticed in Tanzania was in 2009. As you have observed, the numbers have grown over the last 5-10 years.only the last 5 to 10 years though
when i was there for 3 months back in 1993,Kenya,Tanzania,Zambia amd Zimbabwe, not one,not that i saw or met.
Chelsea started to get big during Zola days and still nowhere near Arsenal nevermind Utd and Liverpooldoubt it, Chelsea with the their successes cannot get anywhere the fan base of Utd or Liverpool. It's been built over generations.
God...all those poor fans having to watch that tripe every week.Chelsea started to get big during Zola days and still nowhere near Arsenal nevermind Utd and Liverpool
