After beating Munich midweek I couldn't help thinking about my low points watching City & came up with these I was at.

Halifax 1980 FA Cup defeat
York away defeat, and fuck off I was there!
Mansfield home defeat, freight bollox trophy,3000 in ground
Oxford home late 90s,lost 2 0,Kevin Francis looked like Maradona and they sang we're bust but we're beating you.

I think those 4 take some beating but I'm throwing down the gauntlet.....you have to have been at the 4 games you nominate though.

agree with Halifax but add Shrewsbury six years earlier
derby county away, 6-0, Colin Hendry had just signed
Luton 83

Luton Town (h) relegation day
Stoke (a) as above
Bury (a) can't remember the year, League Cup 3rd Round. We were flying in the First Division they were way way down but typical City.

(and I was also at York)

Re: City at their lowest..top trumps

A 1-0 defeat at Wycombe in 98
A 3-0 midweek defeat at Elm Park circa 97
A 0-0 draw at home to a Bristol Rovers youth team in 98
Liverpool in 96 when we went down

.......all of which I went to......and all of which I wished I fucking hadn't

Bury at home loosing 1-0 to a Paul butler goal, made all the worse as I could only get a ticket in away end as I lived and went to school in bury at the time :(

Re: City at their lowest..top trumps

Definitely Halifax for me, that was the day I realised Allisons policy of breaking up a good team was heading for the rocks and most bad things that happened later - Luton, Stoke, York etc - had their roots in Allison's return and Swales's egomania.
