City attacking face value sites - cultural war on supporters ?

Another side issue. As thousands will testify, the ticket office are a shit show. They don't have the numbers to service the fans and we wait on hold for hours and sometimes without success. Somebody couldn't use my ticket at the weekend due to the incompetence of the staff and systems in place and after being on hold for 90 minutes on Saturday we just gave up. Yet they have the staff to sit and scroll through facebook to punish us?
Like all companies, a different pot of staff.

We are not going to change it but we should be considered and the club think things through for me the key points should have been
1 you have to list your ticket 2 weeks or at a pinch one week before the fuxture
2 if you are compliant with 1. Then the club reimburse 1/19th irrespective as to whether they sell it. In fact they are buying your ticket and thereby as owners of it can now do the mark uos
3 the incurred risks of the club not selling are covered by the higher mark on those sold currently appears they could afford to sell about 3 out of 5 to realise profit up we should welcome this as it adds to club revenues
4 the key legal obligation is on the club to have tight criteria in place on who buys your ticket
5 remember the club is now the owner of the ticket and you have no liability under the pass it to a mate etc if something goes wrong in the ground the club can hold you liable and take your ticket off you and or ban you
We need to protest to change it. They have had no issue for years, because they gave us something with one hand they are now trying to snatch more with the other. They have made transferring tickets next to impossible so everybody uses the exchange. The exchange gets used and they sell you ticket on for a bigger price, even through places like viagogo where you have literally no idea who is using that ticket. It is nothing short of disgusting.

This will result in people binning off their season tickets (which is what they want) but it will ensure there are countless empty seats which is fucking mental considering they are sticking a load more seats in as we speak.

Because there's more money to be made with the snooping pot than the helpful pot mate.
Which is why I detest this club off the pitch and is not the club I fell in love with. Hopefully with 1894 and such like serious protests are put in place and we don't all sit back and get our tummys tickled again.

I had a look on the page and the email from the club states "moving forwards, tickets need to be listed on the exchange"

This is what they are stopping, they want us to put our ticket on the exchange, they pay 1/19th of your season ticket price and they list it for hundreds elsewhere. I said after the ticket freeze that it was a result but I also warned City will have something up their sleeve to make up for it and here we are. Scum
They are business people but seem ignorant to the less obvious benefits of the face value pages. At the surface level, it is natural for Club to want tickets to be relisted through the Exchange but many thousand of fans don't want that, especially when they know City's connections with touting agencies.

And people should stop fawning over 'Billy Bullshitter's' end of season report at the end of the day the buck stops with him.

More than a tickets page.

The campaign to get the lad with disabilities to Wembley was only 3 or 4 months ago.

Several years ago, we were getting ridiculed
for poor ticket sales for a Wembley game vs Arsenal. Daz Clarke drummed up support and several thousand more tickets were sold within days.

A side affect of the page is driving thousands more sales of match day memberships. The page doesn’t cost City much in reality. The page also drives sales of corporate hospitality as Blues who normally couldn’t afford this save up for special family occasions.

When I flagged up that the ticket changes were targeting the Face Value Groups / Pages a few months back. Some posters saw it as an opportunity to stick the knife in to the groups. That said, we all probably post some daft stuff from time to time.
More than a tickets page

Boston’s new single?

Exactly, and I would rather sell/transfer to I know a proper blue who is wanting a ticket. Not selling back to the club where it could go to a ticket partner, it could go to a non City fan but more than anything City will be selling it on at a big profit. It is stupid to alienate a fan base whilst adding more seats to the stadium. Them face value pages have ensured we put bums on seats a lot more than City do, which I appreciate they don't care about but a few years of countless empty seats won't be a good look when renewing sponsorship deals.

I think I covered all your points

My point was they need to think things through a bit more

Very clear the people behind these ideas decisions are at an operational level and aren’t very good

You did with the solution of tickets only going on the exchange which I still completely disagree with.

But it's just a business.
The club have to do this to compete and buy nice new players.
If you don't like it don't go.

That'll be the defence of this mob by some, tiresome but true.
That argument has already been disproved by giving Haaland £500k a week but freezing / reducing prices. The price freeze needs to continue next year also. They want to rise it, and fans can fight that if they want to also.

They know the cost of everything and the value of nothing

Posted about this yesterday. What the fuck are they playing at. So we could basically have empty seats if seasoncard card holders are banned from selling them. Whoever is behind this is a ****. I'm fairly sure people in the department will be reading these post so ffs try talking said **** out of it.
Yeah good point they are probably reading, so if they are.

Pull your fucking fingers out City. You are pissing off your hardcore support that are slowly giving up. I know many knocking it on the head and I am considering it too, only I wont because I know that is what they want. They want the good publicity of a price freeze whilst stitching us up every which way possible since. You are making moving tickets between family and friends harder than it needs to be, you are pissing off fans, you are stopping people from taking kids to games due to hoops everybody has to jump through and you will be left with egg on your face trying to get sponsorship deals with a half empty ground most weeks. Cut the games, cut the bollocks you set of bastards and treat us with the respect that we deserve. Think of the long term and us fans which you will need during the bad times and not just capitalising on the good.

Do you really think some tickets sold at face value to other City fans on websites and not sold on the ticket exchange for twice or three times as much 19 times a season is really going to effect City as a business? Lol!

Another club naysayer on BM.
