City attacking face value sites - cultural war on supporters ?

Is this thread solely for people who pay and go?

No mate that's the old mobile phone contracts, this thread is a direct scrap between those who don't want to live in a world where blues wear different coloured shirts every week and others who call them out for it.

If I could hazard a guess where all this is going it'll end up backflipping on aisle 10 as mods rush to the scene with their emergency buckets and mops, sometimes threads are a mere whisper of what they were when they had all of their comments on them.

I suspect the club supporters will lose yet again to the more loyal fan supporters :)

Another side issue. As thousands will testify, the ticket office are a shit show. They don't have the numbers to service the fans and we wait on hold for hours and sometimes without success. Somebody couldn't use my ticket at the weekend due to the incompetence of the staff and systems in place and after being on hold for 90 minutes on Saturday we just gave up. Yet they have the staff to sit and scroll through facebook to punish us?
Very.well.said.

No problem at all mate, I’m glad you shared it. If it helps your case even a little, then it was worth writing. I’m really encouraged to hear the FSA are on this, because they’re right. This isn’t just City, it’s happening at every Premier League club and we need to stick together on this. Clubs should be looking after their fans, not trying to cull them.

I genuinely feel for you with the ban, it’s completely wrong. Loyal supporters being punished while the club turns a blind eye elsewhere is exactly the hypocrisy we’ve all been talking about in this thread. I hope the FSA back you to the hilt and get you back in the stands where you belong.
Still waiting for the formal letter, 17 days after Stadium Security emailed me confirming the ban. Apparently the legal team have to approve it before its sent out. Legal team FFS. Can't lodge my appeal officially until formal notification is sent. In the meantime another DD payment gone out for a seat I've not sat since last December.

Up the fucking Blu..

That’s absolutely rotten. Seventeen days and still no formal letter when they’ve already told you by email? It’s a disgrace.

Sounds like they’re dragging their feet, while still dipping into your bank for a seat you’ve not been allowed to sit in since December. You’ve got every right to be angry, but more importantly you’ve got every reason to keep fighting this. All I can say is don’t let them grind you down you’ve put too much into following City to let this slide. Keep at them until you get your appeal heard, because you deserve your voice and your case put properly on the table.

I don't fully know your story Dodge, but some of the stories I’ve heard are genuinely shocking - loyal Blues treated like criminals, while the club turns a blind eye when it suits them. It’s selective, and it stinks. Through thick and thin and all that ey...

It’s really hard to accept that the club that’s been such an integral part of your (and your family’s) life, for decades, no longer wants you, and is seemingly looking for ways to get rid of you.
Well they can get stuffed. It’s not their club, it’s mine and ours. I’ll play their silly games and somehow keep my season ticket, and, God willing, still be in my seat when they’re long gone.

Do you think it's reasonable that a blue who sold their ticket for spurs for face value to a fellow blue got a 10 match ban (reduced to 5) for doing so?

Do you think it's reasonable that people who work shifts are now at risk of losing their season tickets because matches are moved to times they have to work?

Do you think it's reasonable that people have to queue for over an hour to get a ticket that works after theirs didn't due to a system that hadn't been properly tested?

Do you think it's reasonable that at least one person with disabilities wasn't capable of doing the above so missed the match and now has a strike against their name which if they get a couple more will result in them losing their season ticket?
Or do I think that we’ve never had it so good?

That can be true in some ways, while Blues are simultaneously being shafted by in other ways.

IMO it’s sick that the club want to price out local working class families who can’t afford season tickets and rely on these tickets being passed on or sold at face value. They will also actively cause empty seats through their greed driven ticketing policies which of course will impact further on atmosphere.

So yeah we can be grateful for watching a brilliant team who have won plenty of trophies while at the same time resenting the contempt with which they treat the core local support. Lifelong blues deserve better - the ones who rely on these tickets and those who sort out other supporters with face value tickets.

Good for you.
You have every right to speak your piece. As does everyone else.
I for one thought we had our soul ripped out of before they arrived. Through years of mismanagement, and I appreciate everything they have done for us because I know how lucky we are.
But we’re clearly different people.
You ever even been to a game ?

Back at Maine Road as Swales ripped the club finances to shreds, the soul of the club was alive and thriving in the form of tens of thousands of blues stood side by side feeling the same frustration and anger but getting through the dark days with camaraderie and humour.

Now at the Etihad we’re more likely to be stood next to a half and half twat or a bored tourist or an away fan or a clown with your opinions who doesn’t understand that Mansour, Khaldoon et al don’t give a fuck about City, never have. It’s all about the UAE

You’re the very embodiment of the famous Oscar Wilde quote.

I sure this thread will be the talk of the boardroom.

“The ungrateful bastards are moaning again”

Isn’t that what Delaney and other journalists have been trying to tell us for years

I’m nearly 60, I was a junior blue way back when and my first season ticket was back when you tore them out of a book. So yes I’ve been to a game thanks. And my early memories of Maine Road were a little different. Less one of camaraderie and more one of feeling unsafe.
You know nothing about me so kindly keep your aspersions to yourself.

Have you?

That’s not at all who I am. But sure keep guessing. Be as insulting as you like, seems that’s what happens to people with different opinions.
You dont appear to be posting any opinions about any of the pertinent matters and ignored my question, if you dont want to be labelled an alright Jack stop acting like one.

I'll ask again.

BOOM!

And that’s the tip of the iceberg.

But those twats, Etihad ban incoming, gives a fuck, in the boardroom, don’t give a fuck!

Yep tip of the iceberg, I could of wrote dozens.i toyed with putting @Dodge story on the list but wasnt sure whether he'd appreciate it as its his story to live, but that's the one that pisses me off the most at the minute and I dont even think I've met him, but its too close to home because I'd of acted the same and so would most of us.
