City attacking face value sites - cultural war on supporters ?

Well in 317 today two rags got turfed out by fans, one of them took his coat off just before kick off and had a rag top on, people round him went ballistic, so how’s that happened, they’ve bought these off a third party website obviously, so we get pissed about with our season tickets they’ll bring in facial recognition but tourists can waltz into a fucking derby without question, nice one City nice one.
Plenty off us including me have been in their end for a Derby, difference is we didn’t wear colours, kept our heads down etc. Did you take a note of seat number, row etc, if so report to the club and ask what will be done to ensure away fans won’t be sat in those seats in the future and will the seller of those seats be banned from selling tickets for future games

No I didn’t mate, like you I’ve done that as well, however I think we are real fans not tourists, these lads didn’t have a fucking clue you could tell, all the shit City are doing now to make a profit is abhorrent. Those seats could’ve gone to local blues but they probably couldn’t afford them. CL full of Madrid fans last year I’m fucking sick of it.

My adult son’s ticket was available for the derby. Bad timing as he’d booked holiday before fixtures out. Put the ticket on Ticket Exchange and it got snapped up in seconds.
Yesterday the lad who bought it told me he’d paid £200 for it via SeatPick. He said he followed Barcelona and was neither a City nor a united fan. Said he’d never been to a Prem game before so wanted to go to a high profile one. He may have been blagging about not being a rag so not to blow his cover but I’ll give him benefit of the doubt as rest of what he said rang true.
Point is this is another example of the club inviting us to sell spares via Ticket Exchange but passing it straight to a tout site. I’d not experienced it myself before and will make sure I do everything I can to sell any future spares directly.

All Ticket Exhange tickets should be out on the official City tickets page for proper Blues with memberships and points history to buy.

It’s not right that they’re put on the ticket tout sites for any **** to buy. The amount of half’n’half scarves the other day was about the worst it’s ever been. Imagine draping ‘UNITED’ in red+black around your neck… nobody with any support for City would ever do that.

100%.

It is shameful that the club is doing this.

All returns should be immediately made available on City's site to registered fans at face value.

No 'returned' tickets should passed to re sellers......there is sufficient demand from genuine City fans to absorb them all.

I put my daughter's seat on TE, as she was on holiday. Started talking to guy who Sat there, and he said he's from Dublin, supports United, and got the ticket off his Irish mate on Saturday night. So booked flight in and out on Sunday. I told him to keep his mouth shut, even if they scored. No need to worry on that score.

We need to be sure that the club put it on Seat Pick directly, rather than someone with a membership and purchase history buying it then doing rhat.

It's possible that the club did do this but they'd be facilitating the illegal sale of a football ticket if they did.

Did you report the seat number to anyone?

If a City fan had bought it off the website it would go straight on to their matchday membership wouldn't it?

They probably were. A City member called Mr S Pick bought the ticket and then mysteriously it gets sold on SeatPick. Figure it out....

Yeah I agree that’s a possibility that a fan could have bought it and put it on SeatPick. I suspected it was the club as it sold in seconds and I questioned if there was enough time for it to have been shown on the ticket page and an individual bought it. But like someone else said a Bot could be set up to grab tickets that quickly.
I’ve thought about reporting to the club (I still might) but then if it is them that sold it on to tout sites they are unlikely to reply and admit it.

What or who the fuck is a Bot ?

The hospitality tickets you see on viagogo, especially ones where the "upscale restaurant" is offsite, are tickets that season ticket holders that have exchanged their tickets back through the club who have then resold it on to their ticketing partners. Legalised touting
Thats what happened to my daughters season ticket, was away Sunday so put it on the ticket exchange & a fucking RAG was in her seat !!

I'm happy to pass on the seat details to City Matters, or you could email Lee Broadstock, who's the new chair, directly.

City hold back 100s of tickets at the back of level 3 on East and Colin Bell.
Most are sold as offsite hospitality or sold through their ticket partners
How could they operate a hospitality package through the season ticket exchange .
They don't know how many season tickets will come back for each match or when they will.be put on the exchange by people who can't attend.
A rag was in my daughters seat in 119, how do you explain that ?
