City away kit at Spurs in 1960?

Just found this, glad I watched it through, mostly about spuds, this is typical City scoring in the last minute, not forgetting this was the year before Spuds League and Cup double.

The disallowed Tottenham goal that's shown starting from 6 mins 10 in that video came when Trautmann saved a penalty and the kicker put the rebound into the net. The award was made right on the stroke of half-time, so the ref according to the rules extended the first half to allow the penalty to be taken and blew as soon as Bert made the save.

Spurs finished third in the league that season, two points behind champions Burnley but with a better goal average. If they'd scored that penalty against us and managed to close out the win in the second half, Spurs would have been champions. I'm sure Blue Moon will be full of sympathy for them missing out so narrowly!

One of our best ever away kits this one, absolute beauty. Just look at that collar… and the combination of that shade of yellow with maroon!

Would love a minimalist design (like this season’s home kit, just block colours with no patterns and nothing fluorescent!) at this for an away kit in the coming years.

Well, just like that^ but with the proper badge (not in monochrome!) and the sponsor and makers logo.

Maybe with maroon shorts instead of white?

Come on City/Puma… make it happen!
That kit is not as bad as it would read on paper (yellow and maroon!). Not a fan of the v neck (don't like them generally). Either a button up collar like we had around 2015 (?) or a a round neck. Agree about the maroon shorts.

Looks like it was goalscorers penultimate game for City, @Gary James.

Bring back brass bands before games.

Does anyone remember a home match v PNE in around 1965 when City played in a change kit of maroon/ white pin stripes, white sleeves and shorts and yellow socks ?

Pics anyone ?
