I have to say that I still consider us to be in the mix for the best fans in football, just I feel with the change in circumstances(money etc) like some have already posted seems to have added a higher expectation/anticipation level. It's almost like most fans are waiting for the team to do something before they get behind them, and it's this I find the most disheartening. We can all remember the dark days when we were shite and had feck all to cheer about, but it was at these times we were at our loudest and got behind the lads no matter what, if we conceded we got louder etc I feel we need to return to these ways as soon as possible. I'm a season ticket holder north stand level one, now I know it gets a bad rep but it isn't as bad as some make out, there is always a good few of us trying to get songs going but it soon fizzles out. It's almost like people feel too uncomfortable to show their support like they used to almost sanitized somehow, it does get me down sometimes but I'm still hopefull the atmospheres of old will return sooner rather than later.
P.s I also respect everybody's right to enjoy the game in their own way, just miss those city atmospheres big time.
