Ping a mail to TfGM they are usually responsive to constructive comment.

You posh fuckers could get luxury coaches in winter and open top buses in summer, praps even a home collection service.
Me, a posh fucker?

I like that.

It's far removed from reality.

Can you leave food on the bus for the return journey , taking a few young ‘uns ?

How full is the Macc bus nowadays? Thinking of using it after the Real Madrid game, is there likely to be space for one way/singles or full with returns? Ta
It’s standing room only for league games but you should be ok for all cup games - especially if you’re getting on before the Bramhall stop. Few more get on at the Etihad for return only - but you should still be ok. Fewer travel by bus for cup night matches as not as many in cup schemes

Cheers, we would only be coming back on it to Macc, like to go into town for a few beers pre-match

Matchday bus 12 looks like it’s seriously late tonight. Stuck in traffic issues it seems. Not yet got to Rammy so at least 30 mins behind.

Hi everyone, I wanted to provide a quick update regarding the match day bus service.

As you’re aware, we regularly take stock of the services and look at how it can be improved – whether that’s adding a new route, new stops or bolstering services.

Feedback on here and by email has been extremely helpful in helping shape our decisions.

Over the course of this season we have seen several routes reach capacity, and on Boxing Day we trialled running additional buses on several of the busiest routes.

After review we have decided to operate an additional five extra buses for weekend fixtures.

This is to ensure that services aren’t overcrowded, that fans can be comfortable in the knowledge that they can board a service, and that we can continue to build patronage across the network.

These ‘x’ services will add capacity to the busiest routes and stops while also taking in a few new stops which have previously been requested.

The services will run slightly later than the others – arriving 30 minutes before kick-off – and only for weekend matches. There currently remains sufficient capacity for midweek matches, though obviously we’ll continue to monitor this and address that if it changes.

This extended network will be in place for the Newcastle game on Saturday (15 February) and continue for all men’s weekend games this season.

Prices, departure times and full route information is now available on the TfGM website.

The five new routes are as follows:
  • MC8X:  Macclesfield - Tytherington - Poynton - Bramhall - Etihad Stadium*
  • MC9X: Flixton – Urmston – Trafford Centre – Etihad Stadium
  • MC11X: Horwich – Tyldsley – Boothstown – Wardley (A580 PnR) – Etihad Stadium
  • MC13X: Shaw – Royton – Hollinwood – Etihad Stadium
  • MC15X: Rochdale – Castleton – Middleton – Etihad Stadium
*This is a duplicate of the MC8 service but will depart thirty minutes later

If you have any queries, please drop us an email to matchdaybus@tfgm.com.

Thanks for your continued support and hope to see you all on Saturday.

Macc bus service - great news re 2 buses at weekends - second one leaving half an hour later.
Definitely well used

Great in the extra buses however I don’t think leaving it 30 mins before the match I’d chance the later 13x no disrespect meant but if it breaks down or is late you are goosed with traffic on a Saturday these days, I’d maybe run both buses at the same time or just 15 mins behind.

They've added a Rochdale one, but for some reason it doesn't arrive til 30 min before kick off instead of the other buses which are mostly an hour before. So even if it arrives in time, by the time you've got past outer gate security, queued and gor past turnstile security, you might be in your seat with 5 min til kick off.
And it's not likely it will arrive on time. And for £8 adult return which is £3 more than an anybus bee ticket...

It's great they've added one, but someone really needs to think about the timings of these buses. 30 min before k.o. is daft.

Not even enough time for a haircut.

I’ve mentioned the pricing before and hope it one day becomes part of the £5 day ticket. After all the only reason some of us are needing these buses is because they removed the direct trams to the stadium and now can’t face the rigmarole of changing trams at Piccadilly Gardens and the dangerous crush scenarios. Why do us in the north of GM get forced to pay more?

No chance price comes down, have you seen how many FOCs use it they don’t pay, so the £8 is supplementing this already. I reckon on the Royton bus at least 1/3 don’t pay.
