Isn't food only ever good if the people who are cooking it are any good?

This is where the idea may fall flat.

I bought a lovely piece of steak at the weekend and my wife ruined it within 15
Minutes.......

they've completely refitted the kitchens out etc. and I assume Jamie will have appointed his own chefs to be working in there producing the food.

Yes, Jamie has appointed his own chefs, he introduced us to one who will be overseeing everything, if I remember correctly, and the staff behind the counters have, as someone else said, been recruited and appointed by the franchisee from NY, The Legends.

this may have been covered but can I still get a balti pie?

Yes, you can still get Balti Pie, Jamie has made sure of that even though he had to buy a few, take them apart bit by bit and then decide on how he was going to do the best Balti Pie in the land, in all the world to fit in with the City ethos!!

Making me hungry now lads, can't wait to get there. More for the match than the food but the food is the icing on the cake!! (Boom boom) ;-)

Is that mash I can see with the pie ?

Fucking better not be!

For the upmarket pies yes, the normal pies come without and I'm sure if you want one of the more upmarket ones that you could ask for it without mash.

TBH I didn't have anything, so can't comment. Will next home match.

Mate tried a pie, got given the wrong one, and TBH he wasn't impressed.(via text)

His words. Shit, no meat, £4, they can stick it up ......., bring back Hollands Pies. The end.

So, we thought we'd give the stadium food a try.

We are up on Level 3 and it's the food bar that covers 322-326. Got there about 25 mins before kick off and the queues were about 10 deep. As the queues move at different speeds we split between different queues to guarantee someone was in the fastest moving on.

We gave up after waiting 7 or 8 minutes and not one of us was any nearer the front. Didn't even get to see the menu because not close enough.

So, went to the bar instead which serves pies. Didn't get what I ordered and got, i think, a steak pie. To be fair it was superb - hot and tasty. Great value as well - pie and a pint for £7.80 :)

Fook that again - sticking to the chippy.

I had a Jamie burger, and while it was a good burger, probably the best I've had in a football ground, it wasn't worth £4-90.
And selling pies at £3-80 is taking the piss. Chocolate bars at £1-50 is extortion. I also noticed many of the old chuck wagons outside the ground had become significantly more expensive.
On the subject of pies; I've heard they all look the same so it's hardly surprising that many fans didn't get what they'd ordered.
Chippies and cafes near the ground can look forward to a surge in trade.

What was the prices? i went maccy ds on the way, the whole north stand stank of burgers.
