Manchester City and the Club’s charity, City in the Community, have jointly funded the purchase of automated external defibrillators (AED) for grassroots football clubs in East Manchester.

Hopefully every premier team will do the same!
Seems they cost around £1000-2000 to buy and of course they have to be maintained. Not a lot per unit when you consider how many lives they could save, players and supporters.

A quick search shows that only the Mail has run this story. I would have thought the club released the news to all media outlets so most don't think it is worth reporting because it's City.
Matters not. The important thing is the help given by the club and Alex Williams's excellent CITC.
Let's hope the equipment is never used but it's good to know it's ready if needed.
