City early 90s

Was at the QPR game where we won with 9 men.
Nearly fell onto the pitch from the upper tier when walshy scored with his mush
Loftus road was absolutely mental in the away end season after season when City turned up...for no tangible reason...it was just the
ground for us in those days.upstairs in the away end or downstsirs on the terrace it was extremely loud.great atmosphere ,and always sold out ..just one big party from the moment you arrived in bbc land until the moment you left.
Cracking pubs and a damn good chip shop next to the tube station...i can remember stagggering in their once ,unable to speak and bouncing off walls after another glourious all day session ..qpr away was bedlam.like going to your favourite nightclub... all day long.

My favourite away day for years, added to that we seemed to draw them in one of the Cups almost every season around that time. Wonder if the Crown and Sceptre is still open, used to sell some good beers in there. In the 70s we used to go in the Springbok next to the ground, until one year it suddenly kicked off in a mass brawl for no obvious reason.

You need to factor in minutes on the pitch. He barely ever started under Reid and wasnt involved at times. But when he Came on he scored. Heath by comparison had 4 goals in 75 games mostly starts. It was a disgrace how Allen was treated. Colin Hendry the same!

Another good away day from that time

Mike Sheron number 5 & Ian Brightwell number 9....not having that.

Also if anyone can guess who the number 14 is without looking it up i'll be impressed (I looked it up)

Danny Hoekman. Went to this one and it was so sweet when Clive came on and got the two goals as I was defo in the Allen camp. Not sure if this was the match but one of the games against Notts County got moved onto the sunday so it did not clash with the Nottingham Goose Fair. Remember spending the sat night in the Garage night club (Nottingham) and then having little to do in the morning watching sunday league football, nursing a horrific hangover.

Yep.i thought i had my first ever wembley trip coming up. That moment is unforgettable. Spurs didnt read the script tho.
A crushing blow.

It really was. I have wrote this before, but I got on the kippax really early to blow up a couple of hundred blue and white balloons. Absolutely shattered by kick off and as we went to release our balloons, the big city flag got unfurled, resulting in rather than a fantastic display, the sound of popping as they got grounded by being under the flag and fellow blues probably popped them.

Totally surreal day and such a range of emotions all in 90 minutes.
