I think the issue is just on the describing of timings. I think You seemed to be implying (or being interpreted as) that summer selling & buying would be in the accounts published in September onwards.

Whereas it should just be described as any Sales/buying Upto the end of year accounts (June).

I think that’s the issue …

The books now run from 01/07 to 30/06. It doesn't matter that they're not published until later in the year or even the following year (or never), you can't take any sales made after 30/06 and put them in the preceding years accounts. They're locked and sealed to all effects and purposes.
