City EDS v Inter:, 3pm, live on City+ & TNT Sports 1, UEFA Youth League match thread.

Poor mistake to give them the ball followed by a totally unstoppable strike, what can you do?

Mistakes have been the story of most the goals we've seen in this game and as Johan Cruyff once said:

"Football is a game of mistakes, whoever makes the fewest wins".

Hopefully the lads can at least get one back, as I'm not sure 2-4 is a fair reflection of the game.

In this youth competition you have to be defensively good because when teams park the bus it's much easier against less experienced players with skill..

Delivery below par and that inter keeper was awful dealing with anything closely resembling good delivery.

Alpha Ruprecht looks to have improved massively, and Kaiden Braithwaite looks a nice player. Otherwise decent performances but just missed the creativity to open up a typical Italian low block

City lacked that nous required against cynical opposition and crap (bent?) referees but the only way to learn is play against it. The first team have managed it (have I put the mockers on for tonight?)

We shown glimpses to suggest can still cause them issues, we started well enough in the first 5 minutes then fell apart once they scored. we've had some decent possession without much penetration, we just need to step up and maybe have a little bit of luck.

Our keeper Wint had a bit of a nightmare with their opener, sadly without much exaggeration this was literally him for the first goal..

A slow shot easy to save and not in the corner is awful for any keeper to concede, it took the wind out of our players not sure our players have fully recovered from it, whatever happens from now on the lads need to put it behind them.
Not to decry any of our young keepers but I like the look of Watnough, got a real keepers build.
