Why have you pulled out of the reserve league?

because the standard is shite, why do you think you`ve do well in it.

:p
Tbf I think we'd probably also pull out if we thought we could find a more appropriate competition.....maybe something like the central league cup, just not sure we'd cope with matches against the likes of Tranmere, Morecambe, Preston & Stoke reserves......congratulations on winning the trophy tho ;-)

Seriously, it's a valid point about the poor standard of reserve team leagues in England. I know the Premier league are supposed to be reviewing it but they need to try and find a solution soon if they're serious about encouraging youth development.

So any of the regular watches of the EDS able to take a guess at which of our top talents are likely to play and who best to look out for?

If everyone is back from loan, the team could be quite impressive with the likes of Cunningham, Nimely, and Rekik involved. Depending on who plays the most standout players are probably Rekik, Razak, Suarez, Roman, and Bunn. Bunn is brilliant at reserve level for us but is struggling on loan to get much time. Jordi Hiwula is the latest striking sensation of the youth team who has looked promising this season and could play but most likely on the bench if Bunn is back.

Guidetti and Weiss will both be back but both will probably be considered too advanced/important for the EDS now, even if either is to leave in the summer.

Does anyone regularly watch our youth team? I'd love an unbias opinion of where people think we stand in terms of quality against other european clubs. I know we got battered at the NextGen comp but I believe our squad age was younger than the other teams? I imagine we are at a good level but milesbehind the likes of Barca still?
