City extend their partnership with Puma to 2034/2035

How would it affect the 10 year deal, if it went ahead.
I couldn't tell you.
Depends on wether Adidas would do what Nike did when they bought umbro and kept it as a separate brand.

The interesting aspect for me is the PL now kit out their match officials and use Puma balls. Should it happen the PL might end up with the same offside tech used by FIFA in the world cup which I would be all for.

I personally loved our 2024 home shirt Puma made (PL 4-peat season). Highly underappreciated, I actually like it more than the Treble winning one from the season before, looks-wise.
Best shirt was the 'one off' old blue/round white collar for the Charity Shield game a few years back....absolutely class !!

Until we changed to Nike in the last year of the Umbro deal and then they renewed under the Nike brand.
When we went back to Umbro in 2009 it was announced as a ten year deal, but it was already owned by Nike so when they sold it in 2013 the kits said Nike on them for the rest of it to 2019. Same with England and Nike/Umbro at the time.
I suppose so. I remember Nike buying Umbro but decided to keep the brand. The contract with us would just continue as agreed.
If you buy a company you inherit all assets and liabilities, so it would.

There is no way you but a brand then get rid of it as some are wondering about, it would be the worst piece of business ever and just give away market share. The logo could change or not, but the deal would be the same.
