That could easily of been a goal from the future 1st team. Doyle to palmer to mcatee. All 3 look to have what it takes to join foden. Hodge looks very good as well, very composed on the ball.

Trafford is the usual number 1 so I assume he is going to be in the first team squad tomorrow?

Great crop of kids in this team. Aside from the lads we’ve seen in first team there’s Hodge, Mcatee and Mbete all impressing tonight. Mbete looks extremely composed for his age I really like the look of him. Funny how even our youth team has a right footer awkwardly filling in at left back though.

The left back looks the weak link at the moment. I presume Pep and Txiki wanted the same football to be played at all levels of the club so they’ve done it on purpose ;-)

Barker looked a real class act when on loan with Hibs as long as he stayed fit.

Not much has been seen from him with Rangers.

I was just never convinced that Barker really had what it takes to succeed in the Premiership ... i watched him a few times but when he came up against a defence like Chelsea youth used to have he always fell short.

I thought the beginning of my post established that I think we are better served with him (and those attributes) than the alternative combination of players at the moment, especially

Poor decision by the City keeper to charge out, a bit reckless and he left himself open .... there were two City players charging back, and might well have got to their goalscorer.

It was a bit reckless but at least he did not bring the player down and get a red
