City fan throws beer at Gary Neville

I didn’t actually see it pal we were in there before the game?? One of the lads that came with us said it was later in the evening he went back in. Don’t know if it was locals, whatever just he mentioned it on the way home m8

Probably on West St (the road with Walkabout, Weatherspoons and Boutique on it), and was probably "locals" like it is on every weekend night of the year. It's why I tend to avoid like the plague. The Victory's a decent boozer though. Not been in for a while mind.

I didn't make it an excuse. Come down of that particularly high horse of indignation will you - the thread even started off as "assaulted" before the original poster realised it was perhaps over the top.
Everyone on here, apart from a very few clearly on the wind up, has said, quite rightly, it shouldn't have happened - just not the crime of the century some want it to be. What are you continuing to be so self righteously indignant about. Easily have "spiralled into something more" - it was one blue with half a pint - or are you tarring everyone who had a few drinks into potential "assailants" .
Sorry that I saw it as a cowardly act and not as banter.
Remember when next a pissed up person lobs a pint full of beer at your face, that he would not do it if he was sober, remember it is not the crime of the century, take it as it was meant, a bit of fun.
You are correct in the sense that a heated debate between ourselves has no point. ;_)

As I say, you can't contextualize and resort to suggesting Neville had a "pint full of beer" lobbed in is "face" now. I also never suggested it was a bit of fun or indeed banter either. You won't apologize for misrepresenting what has been said by myself and others or for your gross exagerations - you don't come over as that type at all. You'd rather falsely sling mud and be indignantly pompous.
