Didn't City announce last year some partnership with a crypto startup, it turned out they were a massive scam and the whole thing was swept under the carpet, deleted and forgotten about 24 hours later?

Did I dream this whole thing?

Not a dream. City announced a partnership with a dodgy crypto outfit called 3Key last year. A few weeks later, the partnership was suspended while City carried out ongoing due diligence. Then at the beginning of this month, all ties were cut and the deal was dead in the water.

But the Fan coins (and NFT) thing is different, from Socios
 
Just trying to get into crypto and NFT's.....not bought any crypto yet (believe now maybe a good time to buy as there wasa. bit of a crash recently in the last few days so crypto is low(er) price at the moment??? Anyone on here know much about it?

NFT's Im selling stuff (not sold anything yet) on Opensea...just doing it for fun and never considered myself an 'artist" (except a piss-artist back in Uni and immediate post Uni days) but its fun giving it a go.
 
Can someone explain the socios stuff to me? Is it legit or dodgy? Not sure how heavily linked to crypto/nfts etc it all is.
 
It’s legit for … something - I’ve won 3 times in 3 months. But due to circumstances only been able to use the Tunnel club prize.

but you only need to have 1 City coin to enter their City competitions

I got it free on its initial introduction (ico - initial coin offering) - I think it was on the OS Cityzens site.

now… presumably you have to buy one for about 7-8 euros.

so it’s like any other electronic money (bitcoin) it is worth whatever people believe it is worth. But from Socios you can use (a single City coin) to win prizes related to City.
 
Absolute bollocks - signed up months ago - purchased 200 Euros of City tokens - entered every competition - won fuck all - now tried to get my cash out - cant till my account is 'verified' - which takes three weeks!!!! (they took my cash in an instant) - and needs to see my grandma's birth certificate or something - total and complete con. City should be ashamed to be involved in this exploitative shite.
