you also get a few paranoid people on here, i said "massive overreaction by the massives", you felt the need to think i was talkin about you, which i wasnt, plus i was merely pointing out to you, that them being scum was infact not a fact, it is of your opinion.

LOL...I didn't think you were talking about me. I still felt the need to reply because - well, like I said, I don't understand why anyone would want to defend scummy little ***** who can't be arsed paying for their fucking beano and lager...

Anyway, hugs all around. I've made my point. You've made yours...lets be friends again...;- )

Lol when did i ever defend them, i was just making a point about an overreaction by some posters, its like a little jury on here sometimes, the 50 have dealt with it, maybe if no police had intervened there would be a need for a 25 page thread, but not now they have been dealt with, lets all move on.

giz a cuddle.

Consider yourself cuddled my friend...!

....and it's fair to say the size of this thread has more to do with it being international week than anything else...

I know I said I wouldn't post anymore on this but......

Check my posts. At no point do I say it's ok to steal.

What I object to, and always object to on here, is the wailing and gnashing of teeth when anything is posted which is off the straight and narrow.

We've had people being branded as racists for singing about the size of Ade's knob; people jump down people's throat at the slightest hint of a joke in bad taste; only last week we had the ridiculous views of some regarding an ironic banner and now we have this.

I have always taken a 'laissez faire' atitude to life and it has done me well. It takes allsorts to make the world go round and although I won't condone theft, I won't get on my high horse about some young lads on a beano (pun intended) ballooning and getting in trouble.

Those lads will have to face the consequences of their actions. Not you, or anyone else on this thread who wasn't there. You aren't going to get batton charged at Wigan because of what happened. No-one will think worse of YOU because of what happened. So why can't you just shake your head and move on?

You suggested that the incident and this thread was a reflection of how society had "degenerated". On the contrary, far far worse than this used to happen on a regular basis before and after matches years ago so that argument really doesn't stand up.

Some sense on a ridiculous thread.

Some lads nicked some stuff. They got arrested. That's it.

The Sheikh isn't going to withdraw his cash, the football world isn't going to hate Manchester City fans, nothing is going to change. BArely anyone will have noticed.

It's like the Daily Mail on here sometimes. Unbelieveable.

If you think that 3000 away fans from any big city club doesn't include an element of scallies you are deluded. It's wrong and I wouldn't want stuff nicked from my shop if I had one, but some of you are acting like pompous arses about it.

I do not expect 3,000 to be on best behavior at every away game, our club, like all, has nob heads that support it.

I also do not think our owner will pull his money out of the club.

I do not think the club should ban those charged (though I wouldn't sign a petition in their support either if the club DID decide to ban them.

What gets me about this thread is the way some people think it is fine and "just one of those things"/"lads being lads"/"a bit of high-jinx" etc etc. Some people on here seem to think casual shop lifting and intimidating a shop keeper is ok as they were "good lads" and "great fans". That is what is pissing off most of the people on this thread having a go. To liken shop lifting to doing 31 in a 30 or getting a parking ticket is ridiculous and simplistic in the extreme.

Just because someone knows all the words to Colin the King doesn't mean they are not low-life scrotes.

If that is pompous then fair do's.

you do like to overreact at times though mate, everyone should just move on from this thread. the majority recognise it as not acceptable behaviour, but until we're all mother teresa's lets reserve judgement.
