City fans in the Celtic end next week

Behave sensibly and I reckon you will be fine, your more likely to end up having a great laugh with those around you, as long as you can take some stick it will probably be a brilliant experience and alot of fun....of course by the nature of being amongst opposition supporters you could be unlucky to end up with idiots in the vicinity but if a regular has given you the heads up, I would be more inclined to expect a cracking night.

I have done numerous home ends over the years well back in the 80s and 90s in the main and never had anything overly unpleasant to deal with....including Millwall.

There is little love for City from Celtic fans since the pre-season friendly at our place a couple years back.

I am a regular visitor to Glasgow (a great City) and have family either side of the club divide.

Keep your mouth shut and even then, you guys might stick out if you are not joining in with 'you'll never walk alone'

Merchant City is great for a drink, as is the West End, if you are also looking for decent eats.

I personally wouldn't drink in any bars around Glasgow Central station, as they do tend to be more tribal.

Oh, and you can always a get a battered black pudding supper from one of the Blue Lagoon' chippy's.

Me and a few mates going in the Celtic end and use common sense and you will be fine!!!

Live in Glasgow and think some on here have watched to much Taggart not as bad as has been made out and the secterian stuff is no where near as bad as 10 years ago.

You will love Glasgow, enjoy it, decent city with decent people!!! Anyone needs any info give me a shout!!
Agree with this. I do a lot of work in Glasgow and socialise with both Celtic and Rangers fans. I was in the Rangers end for the friendly a few years ago, and didn't have any problems. I was also at the friendly with Celtic in Glasgow and had a good night in the Drum & Monkey near Central station before and after the game. Will be in there again next week as working up there. I don't have a ticket yet, but have a chance of getting one in the Celtic end with some Celtic mates.

Our Orange 3rd kit will go down well with them. On another note I know Rangers fans who won't eat peas because they are green and Celtic fans who won't eat carrots as they are they are orange, feckin nuts

dont wear anything remotely fashionable or wash for a week or 2 and you should be fine ( pretending your an IRA sniper gains extra kudos )
Watched you guys at Hampden Park semi final Scottish cup 2012 Hearts won in the last minute. The bhoys went mental

There was never any segregation to my knowledge in the 1960s or 1970s. There was self-segregation in that visiting supporter in their right mind would go into the Kop or the Stretford end. I did go in the home end at Newcastle for the Boxing Day match when City were 2-0 up in seven minutes and won 3-1 with two goals from Tevez. My Geordie son-in-law had bought the tickets for us and he got them in the Gallowgate End! We were sat right behind the numero one nutter in the world. He was a big fat man who didn't wear a shirt even in mid-Winter. I had to be very quiet! I have just bought a ticket for the Celtic end for next week. I assumed that you would have to be on the database to buy a ticket but it let me register.

Well that's narrowed it down a bit :)

I've just a ticket off my brother in law for the Celtic end, cant wait absolute buzzing (though I'll probably the one getting a escort once KdB scores the first, give us a wave if yous see me :-) )

Should you wish to blend in, simply stand up at random moments and scream into the night, 'Ya dirty Awringe Baastas!'
However, if we're wearing our Cillit Bang strip, you might feel less comfortable doing the above.
