City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

You said what has gone on the pitch in the last 3 years as being the reason. I said that is rubbish.

You then said it happened in the 60s.

So you agree it not the action on the pitch. It's just people and their choice
that's correct, but I still feel its whats happened over the last few years whereby fans do go early in even bigger numbers than before because of whats happening or not happening on the pitch,Iv gone early once this season cos I had my 9 year old in tow as usual ,and his mam wasn't happy him going in the first place on a school night.

It's just a habit now.

If you go early say 10 mins a game you miss over a season over 2 games of playing time.

That's not counting added on minutes. Yet they moan about 2% increase. You have already given more than that away already.

Mugs.

this clip Im in there somewhere in 218,it was a Monday night only 2012 five years ago,a lot of it is habit but why do people stay some games others not ? It was an incredibly important game etcbut to me every single premier league game is important, simple as.

How can they do anything about seasoncard holders who don't travel? They could turn up after the club have allocated a seat to somebody else if they tried that...

I'd introduce a system where you can click an app to say you won't be there then they can resell them... maybe offer fans a credit of some kind on renewals each time they free up their seat
Maybe have a system where season tickets are not used that the club have a list where they can get in for free. I have used the ticket exchange (Southampton at home this season) train was cancelled due to southern being on strike. It didnt sell on the site. I would be have been quite happy knowing a genuine city fan had got in and sat in my seat because it is already paid for. Obviously there would be people trying to abuse it maybe you could only use it 3 times a season.

That was a special game.

I never go early so I cannot say. I just don't get it

Yesterday the thousands of early leavers gave yet another opportunity for the media more opportunity to slag our support. But what I find even more embarrasing is that we are constantly trying to find excuses for why supporters leave early. Of course its anybody's prerogative when they leave, but its like most are sheep just following others. We are the by far the worst in the country for leaving early. There are Premier League grounds which have worse transport logistics that don't depart en masse at 80mins.

I really don't know what the solution is ??? But its toe curling watching our players celebrate the final whistle with 10k fans left in the stadium.
I found it really bizarre yesterday.. early Saturday afternoo ko no apparent reason for early exit for the majority (I appreciate that there will always be some people who have to leave for reasons). Is it well we're 4 - 0 up so job done lethargy or I still need to go early through habit... do accept people leave early but it looked like a fire drill yesterday I'm afraid. Great performance yesterday and deserved a full stay to the end clap them off

It's beyond my understanding why anybody would ever want to leave a game early, especially an early kick off on a Saturday.

Fair dos, some people genuinely have an excuse but not the thousands upon thousands that leave at our place from 80minutes onwards.

Part timers

I am in 315 in the cheap seats toward the back... if I leave at full time (I do most games) then there is a long wait to get out... whoever designed the new stand needs a slap as they could easily have added a second set of exits mid stand... instead you have thousands of people trying to get down half a dozen aisles... then you have a double door everybody has to funnel through... god help us if there is a real emergency as people will 100% get hurt... I have no doubt about it.

Nothing we can do about the exodus.. I left myself as mentioned... if I could get out easily at the final whistle I wouldn't go early
