City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

I will have to glance over next year. Pretty sure my friends in 223 state there are plenty of empty seats and plenty of moaning :-).

From my own experience leaving where you sit is a world of difference to leaving SSL3 so I cannot blame sat in there for leaving early.

Read my post again Frank. 223 is on the other side. I am in 209.

But. They dont make it easy to buy one of match day tickets ..i wouldnt pay £50plus for a night game against most teams

I completely agree. The disparity is the problem between the match day price and the season ticket price. Match day tickets are too high which puts off your casual supporter and acts as a disincentive to season ticket holders who do not always use their ticket.

Judging by the empty seats at most matches, there are thousands of them.

It's the modern game. Better heeled less committed supporters and day trippers, who may find something better to do on the day.

Better solution would be to have a non tout exchange or sell on digital ticketing so someone can give you their ticket 30 mins before kick off

I had loads of grief before last season for suggesting that prices were 'too low' especially for the £299 seats.

Too low was perhaps the wrong phrase but I could imagine people not turning up for minor games as the cost can be absorbed or living miles away.

I think this has had an affect but isn't the only issue, I think kids/compy tickets are a larger factor.

The answer....maybe double points if the card is activated could help a little bit, a gauenteed refund from the club if you put it back on sale if it sells or not and easier access/transport which will get worse with the parking restrictions coming in.

May be the club should look at those rows of seats that get given to comps, or corps and move them to the back rows.
Remember when Rooney scored against us and he ran to the East Stand to be greeted by floods of Orientals with cameras! (IT'S ALMOST AS IF HE KNEW THEY WHERE THERE!).
PLANTED AMONGST OUR OWN FANS!

Let our own have the seats at the front, although saying that the tourists tend to stay till the end!

The Tunnel Club stops people walking around to the Singing Section. On the other side, the Club seem to have increased stewarding to make it more more difficult for extra people to go into 111 ( but I've only been 111 a few times for Champs League games).
