City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

It doesn’t look great when pep turns around to see so many people leaving early straight after a goal. Lots of which are leaving to get home 10 minutes early. Why not stay and clap the team off ? One of the best teams ever .

I actually think we are the worst in the league for it now. People defend it and say we’ve always had early leavers, but we have never had this amount people leaving games on mass. Doesn’t matter if it’s 0-0 or 3-0 people just can’t be bothered. It’s strange considering how good we are.

For a lot of people imo going to the match is a chore

Was my Daugters first game yesterday, in early to watch the warm up, then stayed behind to clap the lads off. Went to City square for an hour afterwards to let the tram queues die down. Away no problem, seems to be the best way. Certainly a day she’ll never forget.
Great stuff, wish we’d of won 6-1 on my first game!

Start um young, however I bet she's got a hangover this morning if you took her into the the bars in City square for an hour after the match ! And I'll suggest to think her mum won't be too happy with you this morning if she's off school :)

Block 109 at the front in particular always has empty seats in it, often rows. It used to be season ticket holders in there. Are they gradually replacing them with single match day tickets and getting rid of those standing people?

There and the family stand are the worst bits in the ground for empties imo

That was the 97th minute though, and a midweek night match at the end of November so not really the best example. If it was a Manchester derby hardly anyone would be leaving early.
I think it's the best example
We were on a record winning streak and the team really deserved our full support
In a way I'm glad the early leavers missed what was one of the greatest moments of our record breaking season

Being behind that goal for the winner would have stuck in the memory forever

On the traffic issue. I actually don’t find it that bad going home. Other then a little stretch of road going towards longsight, it’s usually fine.

If you can’t walk or have to park near the ground then fair enough, but for a lot of people who can why park in the stadium car park or really close to the ground ? You can park ten minutes away and get away no problem.

Anything to assist you, he was basically criticizing posters who are critical of early leavers. Everyone has an opinion is what I'm on about.

As fans we need to show a tad more passion and not be customers, this early exodus wouldn't be seen at the swamp or anfield if they were playing football like we are, IMO.

FFS, if you don't understand humour don't come on this site, try Mums net. Unless of course you have 2 identities and this is your WUM name.

The club should put a sensor on the gate. Anyone leaving earlier than 5 mins before the game finishes gets deducted loyalty points. If its from supporters club allocation, they get less tickets next time
