No, he was critical of people who didn’t go to games who criticised early leavers, rather than posters who held that view more generally. I don’t think someone who doesn’t go to games has the right to criticise those that do, or the way those that attend conduct themselves. It’s the same with united fans, who’ve never been to old trafford, talking about empty seats at the Etihad. Have they any idea how ridiculous they sound?

There’s a clear distinction identified by @Ric and one I wholly agree with him on.

I didn't go to the game today as I'm enjoying my retirement overseas but as a season card holder I do try and make as many games as I can so IMO I have the right to criticise fans who leave early but I'm not, I'm simply comparing customers to passionate football fans.

They’re entitled to an opinion, just not a right to express it on that particular subject imo, if they’ve never been to the Etihad.

Never used the ticket exchange there enough Blues in the family for it to get used.

If the trams and traffic issues were sorted then the amount of supporters leaving early would reduce , i spent 40 minutes at the end of the Mancunian Way tonight listening to the Chelsea game , they have coned two lanes off and there is fuck all roadworks being undertaken , i wont be going to the Shaktar game specifically because of the traffic issues , getting home from night games at 12.30-1.00am when i am merely 35 miles away is beyond a joke ,so i will ashamedly watch from my armchair with a six pack of John Smiths watching it on BT Sport , with the voulme muted , but at least i will be there in spirit ....................Hennessy chasers.

The issues are with most teams now. The make up of a fan is totally different. A lot more kids and elderly people attending games.

I go with my 8 year old and old man 75. We need to leave 5 mins early just to avoid the rush on the stands. Although I am considering staying till 5 mins after.

Agree it looks awful when the stands start to empty during the final moments but it’s every ground not just city.

If the club put pressure on the tram situation it would help as this is such a mess and a dangerous situation. I still can’t believe how bad it is.
