City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

Just bring her with you or watch the game at home, if you're that desperate to get home haha.

The last few minutes are far from irrelevant, I think. They're pretty important and plenty of games have been decided in those last few minutes. I'd be well annoyed if I was just exiting the stadium and heard the crowd inside cheer for a winning goal.

I get that being stuck in traffic isn't great, but for me it's part of the matchday. I know it'll take me 30-45 minutes just to get out of the carpark, but so be it. That's the price I'm willing to pay for supporting the club.

As I say, it's just my opinion. But I do feel leaving early is like sticking up two fingers to the players.

Couldn’t agree more. I only live 10 miles from the stadium and the journey home can take 90 mins (walk to Piccadilly, train and walk home).

Two blokes sat behind me arrived 10 mins late and left after 71 mins which I think is the earliest I've ever seen anyone leave.

It bothers me to the extent that I don't see the point of coming to the game if you're going to miss a third of it, but on the other hand those seats would have been empty for the full game otherwise which is clearly worse.

I can honestly say I've never left a city game before the final whistle, but I think leaving early is less of a problem than the season ticket holders that only turn up to half the games.

Sold out I think, apart from the shakhtar end. That's possibly our biggest crowd in the Champions League.

I turned up last minute thinking I'd walk in as I did last season but there were huge queues so I missed start of the game. A lot of young people and a lot of what some people would call tourists. Foreign languages. I think it's great when new people go to City. I was surrounded by kids around 6-10 really really excited instead of the usual grumpy season ticket holders.

If it's 3 o clock kick off Saturday, 4 o'clock Sunday, 8 pm tue/wed same people will try beat the rush. Humans have some strange impulse to get ahead of the crowd, i don't know why it just happens, they are probably the same people who when going on holidays start a queue 2 hours before flight departs and are standing to get off plane as it taxis up run way on arrival, there is no logical reason you will get where you are going but some want to get there quicker. It's not just football matches, believe it or not it happens with people going to church??? Human nature..

I don't think I've ever left early either. But if I had to travel 200 mile like some, I might

We are on the M40 as I write still two hours before we start dropping off and yes it's work for most of us tomorrow can't ever remember leaving before the final whistle? We should all make the most of this moment in time long may it last, but it won't last forever

When I take off at 87mis the journey home takes 1hr, tram and bus. Leave at full time it can take up to 90 mins to get home. I live in Swinton about 8 miles from the ground. That is one of the reasons people leave early.
