City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

I stayed until after the pens and applauded the lads off as I queued for the exit. Like many thousands of other Blues.

I thought I had missed the last train home. I was glad there was still a train running from Piccadilly. It was full of Blues heading back over the Pennines. Got in my house in North Leeds for 2am and didn’t really sleep. I was reliving the KDB chance with 10 mins to go and imagining it burst the net.

City’s ticketing system seemed to have a meltdown to get in the East Stand. My match ticket disappeared from my ticket wallet and a kind steward scanned me in. I’d also bought a ticket for a mate who City wouldn’t let in claiming the ticket had already been used to access the ground. I knew this was impossible as the ticket had been bought direct from City but I had to pay touts prices to get him in as the ticket wasn’t in his name. Oh well, on to Wembley on Saturday.!

It now starts 7 or 8 minutes before half time

Amount of empty seats in the family stand when Arsenal took the lead was embarrassing
Then the same people leaving in the 85th minute

If you’re going to leave a match like that on a Sunday afternoon after 85 minutes having missed 14 mins of play at the end of the first half, I’d ask myself what’s the point going

You think people left at HT and didn’t come back?
Your posts today have been a bit weird to say the least.

Never fails to amuse me when people get embarrassed over a seat with nobody sat in it.

Not until the second half
There were 6 mins added in first half
And the seats started to empty on 37 or 38 mins
So they missed about 14 mins of football in the first half alone for the sake of a gravy chip

Probably the same in the second half as they would have been rushing home at 84/85 mins so all in all missed 28-30 minutes of football for some bizarre reason

As I said, I wouldn’t see the point in going if I was missing so much of the match

The thing is though, that seat could be filled with a City fan who would love to be there for the whole match, instead of a City fan fucking off 10 minutes before the end of the match. You can understand fans frustrations about that.

Not only that, the players deserved a full stadium applause at the final whistle after that come back, and we’ll fight to the end performance against Arsenal today.

In all four home games this season, from 36 minutes there’s an exodus for a pie and a pint that’s clearly more important to many than City.

There were that many that left at the end of the first half today that it had an effect on the pitch because it fell silent in the stands and Arsenal fans made a racket throughout our silence which picked their team up massively.

And how people can leave when we’re pushing for an equaliser is just far beyond my understanding that I just find it fucking weird.

You missed yet another late important City goal you deserters, will you ever learn?
