City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

Left as soon as we subbed Jesus. Heard the 5th go in as I walked past Mary D's, not too arsed about that.
Beat the traffic (yes!) and got home with feet up, fire on and settled down with a brew to watch the afternoons games on the firestick.

Good man, I left on 90 and still missed the 5th, should've gone when you did you jammy sod

Let's talk about my match day experience then and why I wanted to fuck it off at half-time.

Because I sit in an area of lots of empty seats (back of EL3) City decided to give away row upon row of free seats to a load of Irish fuckin school kids. They were up and down buying chips most of the first half, honestly I have never seen anything like it. The young lad to the left of me got up and went to the concourse 3 times first half.

The tourists/freebies offer NOTHING to the atmosphere, these lot couldn't even muster a clap when we scored. They suck the life out of the area where they sit.

We have big problems

you could say the exact same thing about our long serving fans.

Well I had a season ticket in there until 2 years ago when the club decided I couldn't sit there anymore because I didn't have any little brats with me. Maybe that's the problem.
It's defo a problem for the night games because I know a lot of chavvies can't go to them. But 12.30 on a Saturday is no excuse. So many new wannabe designer fans picking n choosing when they go. This is what success brings I'm afraid.

I'm in the Family Stand and stayed because I wanted to. Could see people leaving in every other stand as well as Family Stand. Got home, watching re-run and lower tier East Stand is equally empty. Looks like it's not just fans with kids that leave early eh? Not sure what the club can and need to do about it, I'd expect if we were still in with a chance of winning the league it would make a difference. The only solution to keeping backsides on seats would be to give a huge incentive for fans to stay, big discount off seasoncard or something similar. Some would still leave early, including me with kids on night games, but you'd have a better chance of getting fans to stay until the final whistle. Better transport links would also help but that's not something that City can immediately fix.

Wowwww there cowboy , you can't say that, it's just the family stand that leave early and don't turn up,
you will have all the misopedist up in arms to suggest anything other then that.

unless you were sat up there today you wouldn't know, it was UNREAL tbh. Never seen anything like it in a football ground before.

yea i wasnt sat there and it probably was annoying tbf mate, but there have been groups of local school kids near where I've sat plenty of times. i was more talking about "NOTHING to the atmosphere, these lot couldn't even muster a clap when we scored. They suck the life out of the area where they sit " that applies to long serving city fans swell, I'm sat near fans who dont clap, cheer, you wouldn't even know they were alive aha
