City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

Let's talk about my match day experience then and why I wanted to fuck it off at half-time.

Because I sit in an area of lots of empty seats (back of EL3) City decided to give away row upon row of free seats to a load of Irish fuckin school kids. They were up and down buying chips most of the first half, honestly I have never seen anything like it. The young lad to the left of me got up and went to the concourse 3 times first half.

The tourists/freebies offer NOTHING to the atmosphere, these lot couldn't even muster a clap when we scored. They suck the life out of the area where they sit.

Yep, the elephant in the room. City fan being told to stop singing in the, ahem, singing section against Burnley was the ultimate piss-take and it wasn't from a tourist either.

70th minute today wow im sure the traffic was just as bad at maine road

Got home at 5.30. Left after the final whistle, picked up the minibus from the college car park, dropped off at barnsley, Sheffield, maltby and doncaster ( where I live). If your going to do it, do it properly. I even do night matches.

I went for a piss on 70 mins when their player was down with an injury, there were loads leaving at that point, fucking crazy.

It's defo a problem for the night games because I know a lot of chavvies can't go to them. But 12.30 on a Saturday is no excuse. So many new wannabe designer fans picking n choosing when they go. This is what success brings I'm afraid.

Funny you should say about picking and choosing , was speaking to a gentleman today who has been going since the 70s one thing that struck me today was that he said he was thinking of giving up his seasoncard because it's not enjoyable anymore it's like a chore going the atmosphere has changed since 93.20 and a new fan base have come in and has killed what he loved most, he was saying he was pondering on getting the value gold card £299 and jut going to the games he wants to with it. Seems to be the mentality these days.

Continues to baffle me how people can be leaving with almost 1/4 of the match to go.
