Complain to the club about, the email address is further up. The only way to stop this happening, is to complain about it, get the club to complain to uefa.
What can UEFA do about it?

The Spanish police as well as each club have to submit a report to UEFA after each game. They will no doubt say the match passed without incident, but MCFC's report will say a number of fans were attacked. UEFA then have to investigate any claims.

The FSF (Football Supporters' Federation) are compiling a dossier of events last night so if anyone who was in the bar or witnessed the attacks would care to submit a statement (and pictures of injuries if you were one of the unfortunate ones to be at the receiving end of a baton) for the dosier I would very much appreciate it.

We would prefer if reports weren't annonymous but we will treat all with the strictest of confidence so please indicate on your report if you don't wish for your name to be used.

My email address is ammocky@aol.com

Thanks

Pm'd you mate

I was there with my 16 year old son and we tried to help the guy who was pushed over, he came out with a story claiming to be the chairman of charlton athletic, f.c just googled imaged him, and it was him.
I was shoved and my son was battened across his leg.
Absolute disgrace the blues were just singing having a good time, my next step is to now email the people i need to do and the charlton athletic chairman.

Also in the plaza mayor my son kicked the ball away when the cops was about to get it and then was used as a pinball getting thrown about by 6 twats.

We were inside the bar and saw the first fella knocked to the floor which was bad enough until the police compounded it by assaulting anyone within batoning distance. The lad who got a baton to the side of his face looked in a bad way too even though I was told he went into the game.
Anyone was fair game, even women and youngsters.Never seen such heavy handedness .
I wondered if it had anything to do with what went previously in the Plaza Mayor as there was a bit of a bust up with the City fans with the ball and the police but they backed off into the corner and it seemed like it had blown over.

Back at the bar they came in and cleared us all out. One poster mentioned it might have had something to do with the owner but that was definitely not the case. he was having a great time with fans of both teams and was clearly enjoying himself. I had a few words with him after the game and he was really pissed off withn the police. He even gave me the free drink to cover what the police had made me leave.

Another cock up was the herding us all out of one gate after the game. It got really cramped and you could see some people beginning to panic. There was a point where people were backed up on the stairs but other were till coming down the escalators and just piling on top of each other. A couple went over and it couldve caused all kinds of shit until someone had the nous to hit the emergency stop.
Very poor all round by the officials but City fans in general were a credit to themselves.

I mentioned this in another thread. This was a disaster waiting to happen - no stewards just a line of police watching everyone struggle down 5 floors through one exit. It needs reporting and Im going to let Danny Wilson at MCFC know - everyone should do the same. Spain are really poor re safety and they are overbearingly officious leading to events described above

I didn't get down to Plaza Mayor until about 5pm, but I went through that tunnel where the meat wagons were parked up and I could sense a bit of tension from the police.

I was with my mate who is visually impaired, so the police let us leave at FT. My experience of both Santander & Villareal was to get him to cover his City shirt up. Not from the Madrid fans, but the police.

I noticed a couple of club officials on the way in the ground and they looked visibly shaken, so I'm sure they'd heard about or seen the incident first hand.

As for the old boy with the cut and bandaged arm, I heard him say it was the Madrid Ultras, but he did seem a bit disorientated.

I can't vouch for every City fan there, but I saw no one causing any trouble whatsoever.

Yes mate, get an e-mail to him.
His nephew stopped us at the Airport on the way back, he took my injured mates number, i think they are filing a formal complaint to the relavant authorities.
This needs to be sorted.

Haven't read all 15 pages so apologies if already covered but inside the ground I saw a bloke who was at least 60, He looked like everyones idea of a loving granddad, he had a huge split/bruise over his eye and his forearm totally bandaged. He was in total shock and seemed quite ill with it. Apparently he was one of the many innocents who got attacked outside the bar. It takes a really brave man armed only with a riot baton to take on a 60yr old man, he will never read this but shame on you big man.

Horrible story and horrible people. Hate for that to have been one of my family members. It's shocking that there's been no press coverage.

Glad I never went now reading this thread! The sad thing is that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will be done about it no matter how much we complain and log dossiers and photos and kick off etc. The Spanish police are a law unto themselves.

I would love to be proved wrong though.

hello,

i'm a supporter of borussia dortmund and will be visiting the matches in manchester as well as in madrid. the behaviour of spanish police forces is just disgusting!
as some of you already mentioned, this happened to a lot of fans from different nations, and in several spanish cities.
dortmund in sevilla, hannover in sevilla, frankfurt in vigo, the famous case of marseille in madrid (atlético >> SANTOS) and what happened to your mates yesterday sounds just like a lot of reports from other fans, just singing or celebrating and getting attacked by the spanish police for no legit reason!
the stories i heard and read from our match in sevilla back in december 2010 were frightening. they said after the game, you could hear the maltreatened screaming even outside the stadium. and some fans had to leave the stadium during half-time with tears in their eyes, because they were scared of the polices' actions after the game. allthough it was the game that decided who will succeed the group stage.
Hi mate,
Looking forward to visiting Dortmund when we play you. I believe you have a large stadium. What do you think the ticket allocation will be for the City supporters?

supporters of several clubs from all over europe have to come together and blame the UEFA for what happens regularly(!) in spain!
so that they can't close their eyes and disclaim the problem any longer.
something like this must not happen in the european union!

regards from germany.

What a sad bastard you are.

Sorry for the typo, TOO instead of TO, my keyboard is not what it used to be.

Now, that we are done with pleasantries, go call the piggies and give them a link to my post if this is what you want to do.
You will likely be rewarded like a good servant of the system you are.

The fact that people posting here were afraid to take pictures of the brutality so they will not get beaten up even more, is outrageous.

But next time when you will want to take a picture with your cellphone and they will beat you up (and your friends that happen to be walking with you TOO), do not forget your previous craven attitude. Maybe as a result, grateful that they let you live you will support the police with more fervor, making a donation for the 'heroes', the brotherhood of the PIGS.

Matter of fact, you model citizen should support the police, beat yourself up to save them the hassle.
Mods, can we not get guy banned. I like others on here find his police jibes in very bad taste after the events of yesterday!!!
Give over, man. The two things are utterly unrelated and the abuse of the Spanish Police is wholly warranted.

I actually passed that bar with Dave & Sue Wallace a few moments beforehand. It was lively but not problematic. However there were fans blocking the pavement & I believe police told them to move then waded in. We found a quieter cafe/bar where we bumped into Gary Owen & Kevin Parker.
